Early in life, Esther identified her passion and natural ability for creative problem solving and helping individuals to grow and thrive. Combined with her education and professional experience, Esther brings a unique perspective and depth of understanding to her coaching and training services. Using her three training models, Esther empowers and inspires people to resolve interpersonal and organizational conflicts successfully. Her clients master essential skills and gain confidence that will last a lifetime.

Esther’s professional experience includes an extensive background as a sales and marketing executive in the newspaper industry. In 1988, Esther completed a Master’s program in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University, after which she established a private practice as a psychotherapist. In 1993, she formed Carson Consulting Company to provide coaching and training services to small and mid-sized businesses.

Her ongoing interest in the interactive dynamics between people — workplaces, families, friends, social groups, and partnerships –propelled Esther to earn a Master’s degree in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute of Conflict Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law. In addition, Esther soon began to teach courses as an adjunct professor at Pepperdine. Theses included business negotiation, mediation and social psychology of conflict.

A sought-after speaker on subjects related to conflict resolution, negotiation, leadership and communication in high stress situations Esther has given talks and presentations to numerous business civic and community organizations.

Esther’s professional affiliations include CAMFT (California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists), AAMFT (American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy), ACR (Association for Conflict Resolution) and SCMA (Southern California Mediation Association). A former member and Pro Tem Forman of the Ventura County Grand Jury, Esther currently serves on the board of Stillpoint Family Resources, a non-profit organization.
